Wire cutting (Wire EDM) is a highly precise material-cutting technology that uses electrical discharges between a thin wire and the workpiece. Because no physical cutting force is applied to the material, we can effectively disregard its hardness.

The technology easily handles fully hardened tool steels and carbides. We therefore cut critical fitted holes, shapes, and gear teeth only after heat treatment, completely eliminating unpredictable part deformation.
